Storyline: Malayankunju is the narrative of a man's survival instincts after a landslide bury him several feet beneath the ground, as was already known before the film's release. While watching the movie, the potential disaster looms in the background. However, this Fahadh Faasil-led film is more than just a survival drama, a rare genre in Malayalam film. The movie is based in a hilly area during a monsoon and was written by Mahesh Narayanan and directed by Sajimon, a newcomer. Fahadh Faasil plays the lead character, Anikuttan/Anilkumar, who lives with his mother and earns a living by fixing electronics. He is a recluse, possibly as a result of his painful history.
