Storyline: Prabhudheva's Kathiravan, an amputee, is beaten by a gang of goons in the film's opening scene. We are taken to a random intro song setting before we can even ask why. Why, once again? Because it's Prabhudheva, the makers probably thought he had to dance, even if he was missing a limb. The song adds nothing to the film other than another opportunity for him to demonstrate his incredible ability to dance, this time with one leg. As the story progresses, we learn that Kathiravan lost his leg in a car accident that also killed his wife. His entire life is now centred on his daughter. The majority of the first act is devoted to establishing their deep bond and the father's willingness to go to any length for her happiness. There is a scene in the middle where he fights ruffians on a bus who have a bad touch on a girl child. Though the makers' decision to address such messages is commendable, it would have been preferable if it was done organically and had something to do with the plot.
