Storyline: Sarah, aka Mike, is undergoing a gender transition. Antony, a young person with alcohol use disorder, is introduced to her. The two decide to continue their journey together because to their quick chemistry. Review: Her mother and step-father are waiting at the door with irritated looks when Sarah arrives home late on a bike with a friend. Her mother exclaims, "I hoped for a boy and this is what I got!" following a heated exchange. Sarah remembers her friend's remark from when she confided in him about her unrelenting desire to be born a boy as she sits angry in her room. He explains, "With the addition of 'this,' you are already a boy. The only time the word "this," which refers to the breasts, is used in the entire movie is when Sarah explains mastectomy to her friend Antony in the second half.
